Mantis expands again with second AE – meet Caitlin Napier

I’ve said this a lot in 2018, but, when you meet the right people for the job, you just get excited, don’t you? With recent graduates, it’s a different kind of excited – there is a feeling after interview that you’ve just witnessed the passing over you of a micro-climate of personality and talent mixed with endless potential.

Caitlin’s – our newest recruit – is a lot like that, with added warmth.

Having graduated from Bath Spa University with a creative writing degree, I was expecting someone with great core skills. What makes Caitlin extra special is that, despite not initially finding the job she wanted on graduation (Café Nero Bath, your heavy loss is a Mantis infinite win), she didn’t give up, and took on freelance technical writing to keep creative.

We love working with her, her ability to take a brief and convert it is super strong, and we love that she loves learning about even the deepest of tech. As a Mantis team member, you have to be pretty strong on your politics and public sector issues, and it’s excellent to talk with someone who is principled, thoughtful and sensible on the subject.

I’m learning a lot from Caitlin, we all are. Her natural inclination is to make things happen and do it well, and on time. She’s a fantastic addition to the team and our clients are already seeing some of her work come to fruition as coverage.
