Challenge
Netherlands-based renewable chemistry company Avantium tasked Ruder Finn to develop a multi-channel communications programme to amplify its market presence and create a positive profile through reaching the top-tier media read by key audiences.
Aim
The long-term program aimed to position Avantium as a world leader in developing renewable and sustainable chemistry technology to build belief among investors in Avantium’s roadmap and ability to deliver.
Results
As part of our comprehensive, integrated, multi-channel corporate communications programme, we achieved:
- 34 top-tier pieces of coverage/interviews
- 157 overall pieces of coverage
- A face-to-face press tour where CEO Tom van Aken met with the likes of the Financial Times, Bloomberg and The Guardian. Coverage of the latter resulted in a viral media spike which in turn raised the Avantium share price by a record 60%
- The delivery of creative assets including a 3-minute-long animation to educate consumers on Avantium’s PEF and PlantMEG™technology
