New projects, new clients, new horizons? We are recruiting, now!
Written by Eleanor WillockWe are looking for a new team member – senior account executive level. Mantis is growing fast due to some new client wins, so we’d love someone to join who is really looking to prove themselves and move their career on with us.
You will be an integral part of our team, working in teams of between three and four people.
You’ll be used to running day-to-day communications with clients and the media, and comfortable with picking up the phone and making things happen. Our SAEs implement our strategies as well as help create them, so we’d like you to have experience of:
- Attending and taking an active part in client meetings
- Meeting the media and other influencers face to face
- Executing customer relations campaigns
We don’t want you just accepting our take on things, especially when it comes to the media. We want to hear about the opportunities and contacts you think are worthwhile, too.
It goes without saying that your ability to report, analyse success and communicate that back to clients is something you do with ease. Although, rest assured, you won’t be the one stuck with all the reporting – we’re not that sort of agency.
You’ll also be part of the team that delivers our Mantis insights such as perception and awareness audits, research and competitor analysis, and training in areas such as crisis simulation and stakeholder communications.
We are headquartered in Paddington, London.

Who you are
The right consultant will be able to show solid technology public relations experience – the issues, the media and social media landscape, and the technology itself. Our clients provide B2B tech, predominantly, so you’ll need to understand, and be able to demonstrate experience of working with complex tech. Think in terms of cloud services and web applications, enterprise big data storage, exascale computing, hybrid networking and managed security.
As Mantis’ clients focus on providing tech to the public sector, we’re really looking for somebody who knows this industry too. We need team members who are either passionate about NHS transformation, and social care policy, or think they’d like to become an expert under our guidance. Any healthcare technology experience would be greatly favoured.
Good media relationships are an absolute minimum requirement, because ours are, in the tech and public sector, second to none. However, it doesn’t stop there for us. Extra experience of working with other influencers, such as analysts, trade associations, and important government officials, NHS trusts, local government would be very advantageous.
Our clients expect digital experience, from writing for blogs to social media management, so some experience here would be preferable.
Client service is everything to us. The proven ability to ‘win over’ clients in a short space of time, so that they trust and value your input, will be pivotal in this role.
